Embassy Spokesperson's Remarks on the Accusation Made by a Canadian Opposition MP That China Is Engaging in Espionage in Canada
2005/06/21

At present, China-Canada relations are enjoying a sound momentum of development. However, there are always a handful of people who, out of their own ulterior motives, don't like to see the smooth development of bilateral relations. From time to time, they would play the same old trick of spreading rumors in an attempt to sabotage bilateral relations. It's not the first time that such accusations have been made. All previous accusations, however, have turned out to be untrue. Innocence is as innocence does. The relevant accusations are groundless, self-defeating and not worth commenting.
